Dixieland RIGA RETRO was born in 1985. During all these years the competence of the band has grown a lot, and today it’s among the best bands in the Baltic countries. The repertoire is based on New Orleans traditions, which we keep, adding our own style with dynamic ensemble play and bright solos.

One can feel the influence of jazz giants as L.Armstrong, G.Lewis and others, we play all the best from traditional jazz – blues, swing, ragtime, swing. RIGA RETRO regularly performs in the Baltic countries, Germany, Finland, Polang, Hungary, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, etc.

During the International Jazz Day concert Laimis Rācenājs — one of the most known Latvian singers will perform together with us.
