K Trio was started up by Kristján Martinsson in January 2008 to perform his compositions in his final recital at Icelandic Musicians Union School of Music. Trio became international in Amsterdam when a base player from Great Britain Pat Cleaver and a drummer from Latvia Andris Buikis joined the band. During last year K Trio performed mostly in Amsterdam and around it. Repertoire consists of the tunes composed by Kristján and then arranged with the rock music’s emotions, jazz virtuosity and true joy of playing music together!
