Pianist Rūdolfs Macats is one of young Latvian musicians that is mostly know for combining his bright technique and modern sound. His musical goal is to bring listeners bright energy at every concert. Since 2013 he actively explores the art of playing drums. He has studied African and Indian music basics, continues to educate himself, searches for his own colors and fulfilling his style and ability to play drums. As a child he was deeply involved into classical music, which helps him now to visualize the music in a greater range of aspects in drums and piano.
Dāvis Jurka is Latvian Academy of Music and Tallinn Theater and Music High school jazz department master student, has spent a year in Hamburg, Germany. Has participated in a vast amount of festivals and contests, such as Elbjazz (Germany), Rīgas Ritmi (Latvia), Saulkrasti Jazz (Latvia), in different projects with Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor, Diana Torto (HfMT Big Band, Hamburg, Germany), Jojo Mayer, New York Voices, Kurt Elling, Roberta Gambarini. Since 2012 plays alto saxophone in Latvijas Radio big band. In 2014 has won 2nd place at “Riga Jazz Stage” competition, jazz saxophone nomination.
